Hetalia FanFiction: Small World Ch. 8

“Roxy, lass open the door.” I heard Allistor calmly say. I sigh and unlock the door so Allistor could enter the tiny room. Once he entered the room, he sat down beside me. “Lass, they already suspect something is up. What do you expect to tell them?”

“I don’t know. I can’t tell them the truth.” I say as tears are still escaping my eyes.

“What are you afraid of?”

“I’m afraid that they’ll leave me or just hand me off to who know who.”

“Roxy, you told me the truth and I’m still here. I didn’t leave you; I stayed by your side because I knew you needed me.”

“I know you didn’t leave, but I only told you the truth because we’ve been friends for a while. I know if I told them now, they would think I’m with the 2ps.”

He sighed and then put an arm around me. “What do you expect to do then?”

I sigh, “Make up some excuse please and make it something realistic because the excuse I made wasn’t good.”

“I could’ve told you that. That lie was as bad as my brother’s cooking.”

I then laugh once he said that. “Allistor you’re horrible.”

“Hey, at least I got you to laugh.”

“Yea you did. Anyways just go give them an excuse please.”

“Alright, I will do my best. If you don’t feel like going back to your classes, then I’ll tell your teachers you weren’t feeling well. In the meantime, why don’t you go to one of the rooms in the school? There is a room where everyone in the school brings their pets and leaves them there while everyone is in their classes. I know how much you love animals.”

“Thanks Allistor. I guess I’ll go to that room.” He smiles and exits the room. I sigh, and I decide to get up and go to the room which he told me about. Since everyone was still at lunch, I knew I wouldn’t bump into anyone. After a few minutes of looking around the school, I found the room, which was on the right side of the school and it led to the great outdoors. I slowly open the door, and once I enter the room, I am greeted by so many types of animals from a panda and polar bear to an elephant. The room itself was a large room with its walls painted in a light greet and the ceiling a baby blue color; the room had branches hanging off the walls, two separate pools with a fountain separating the two, sheds for the animals to sleep in, a door which was open that led to the outdoors, and a fence which kept the animals from running away.

I look around the room to take a look at all of the animals that were from all around the world. I didn’t know where I was looking into I bumped into a baby polar. I kneeled down by the animal, “Sorry, I didn’t see where I was going.”

The animal began looking at me as if trying to study me. Then the bear spoke up, “Who are you?”

“Oh my gosh, I can’t believe you actually talk. Well since you asked, I’m Roxy and what is your name.”

“Kumajirou.”

“Well, it’s nice to meet you.” I stand up and continue looking around the room. I look up to look at all the birds that were up in the branches. One of the birds, which was a tiny yellow bird, flew down and landed on my head. I giggled and continued looking around as the tiny bird relaxes on my head. I kept walking around the large room and had a feeling like something was following me. I turn around and look down to see a German Shepard in front of me. I was suddenly struck with fear but it eventually went away when I knew this dog wasn’t going to hurt me.

I kneeled down to be face to face with the dog and started petting him. I notice he had a collar and checked to see what his name was. “Hmm so your name is Berlitz.” He started to wag his tail as if agreeing with me. “Well I really like that name. It suits a big dog like you.” Berlitz then started licking my check and I couldn’t help but laugh. Soon after, two more dogs, a black Dachshund and a Golden Retriever, and a grey cat came walked up me. I stood up and looked at the animals in front of me. I looked at all of their collars to figure out who their names were. “Blackie and Aster, nice names.” I look at the cat and see it doesn’t have a collar but a ribbon that strangely resembled Germany’s flag. “Let me guess, you are Ludwig’s and Gilbert’s pets right.” The dogs wagged their tails in agreement.

I continued looking, around with the animals behind me, until I am stopped when I hear, “Hey girl!!” I turned my head and see a Puffin with a red bowtie sitting on one of the lower branches.

“You talking to me?”

“You’re the only girl in here.”

“True. Well you’re a cute bird but with a loud mouth.”

“I know I’m cute. Anyways, what are you doing here? You a new kid?”

“Yes I just came to the school yesterday.”

“Nice. Well anyways, my name is Mr. Puffin or at least that is what Emil calls me.”

“So you’re Emil’s pet. Can you tell me what kind of animals are here and who they belong to?”

“I guess.” The entire time, Mr. Puffin told me about all the animals that were always brought into this school and who their owners were. Yao has a panda; Alfred has an eagle and a cat; Feli and Ivan have a cat as well; Matthew own Kumajirou; Francis has a bird named Pierre; Kiku owns a small dog; Antonio owns a bull, which surprised me; and many other pets that I couldn’t even remember.

I look right next to Mr. Puffin and see a strange green creature. “Mr. Puffin, who does that green bunny belong to?”

He looks behind him and looks back. “I don’t see anything. Honestly you are just like Emil’s brother and his friends. They’re crazy thinking they see magical creatures.”

“Oh, well never mind then.”

Then the bell rang, which signaled that it was the end of lunch. I sighed, “I guess I’m going to have to go back to class. I wonder what Allistor told everyone. I’ll see you some other time then.” I waved at the bird before I left and headed back to my dreadful classes. Fear began building up inside of me as I made it towards my class. I’m at the front door of my choir class and I open the door.
